Historical and Architectural Reserve “Bozhentsi”
Historical and Architectural Reserve “Bozhentsi” is a village near Gabrovo with preserved atmosphere of the Bularian Revibal of the XVIII and XIX century. The romantic village offers authentic atmosphere and unforgettable memories of the days gone by. Because of the preserved Bulgarian National Revival architecture the village was announced historical and architectural reserve. The cobbled streets of Bozhentsi are the place where locals and guests from near and far meet in a lively commotion. The museum exhibitions – a wax workshop with original mechanism, the building of the Old School from 1872, the house of Dancho Popa from 1826, as well as the monastery school and the fabrics exhibition are very interesting. In Bozhentsi you can experience your own fairytale with a scent of boxwood and taste of freshly baked bread, to spend the night in one of the guest houses, to wander around the nearby forest or to devote yourself to the numerous culinary temptations, offered by the hosts.
